How To Tell If Someone Doesn’t Want To Talk To You.

The Millionaire Method: What the Rich Don’t Want You to Know

If someone really wants to talk to you, they will. If they don’t want to talk to you, no matter how hard you try and force them to, they won’t.

One rule of life I live by is that if someone wants something, you’ll know. You won’t have to fish for clues. You won’t have to question their motives, or build up a defense for when things go wrong.

People who want something will show you that they do. They’ll make it obvious. They’ll tell you directly and explicitly what they want. They’ll make time for you and work hard at getting your attention and keeping it.

If you have any doubts about whether or not someone wants something from you whether it be your time, energy, love or resources, then chances are that they don’t actually want it from you at all.

We all want to be heard sometimes. We all want to feel important and valued. We all crave attention and affection from others. But when we fail to reach that goal, we get frustrated and our frustrations lead us to force people to talk to us.

However, if you do so, you will get nothing but disappointment. Because no matter how much you make someone talk with you, you won’t get the result you desire.

In fact, forcing someone to talk with you is one of the worst things you could ever do.

The most important thing to remember is that you can not force anyone to talk to you. The same rule applies to relationships.

If someone doesn’t want to be in it, they won’t be in it. No matter how hard you try or how much effort you put into it, the relationship is doomed from the beginning.

That’s why it’s so important to be able to spot these signs of a possible relationship failure or a break-up before it happens.

10 Ways You Can Tell If Someone Doesn’t Want To Talk To You.

Unfortunately, it’s not always easy to tell when someone is looking for an out. There’s a fine line between being aloof and rude. But, if you want to know what it is, we have listed ten signs to know that someone doesn’t want to talk to you.

Here are 10 ways you can tell if someone doesn’t want to talk to you:

1. They Give You One-Word Answers.

Obviously, there are times when you just want a “yes” or “no” without going into detail. But if someone is constantly giving you absolutely bare bones answers when you’re asking questions, that’s a sign that they are either busy or simply not interested in talking to you.

If it’s the latter, maybe stop asking questions and go your separate ways?

2. They Get Really Quiet.

When someone is engaged in a conversation with you, they should be putting some effort into it.

It doesn’t matter the topic, if someone isn’t contributing at all to the conversation, then they probably don’t want to talk to you.

3. They Keep Looking Around While Talking To You.

Their eyes should be on your face while they’re communicating with you especially if it’s a personal conversation between just the two of you (or more), and even more so when there are other people around who might be vying for their attention.

If they keep looking around as if they’re waiting for someone better to come along, chances are they don’t want to talk to you anymore and wish their friend would show up ASAP so that they can ditch you.

4. They Avoid Eye Contact.

This one should be obvious, but people often don’t realize how much eye contact matters in a conversation.

If you’re looking into someone’s eyes, it indicates interest in what they’re saying and shows them you’re invested in the conversation.

But if they’re avoiding your gaze? It means they probably don’t want to talk to you at all.

This might seem like a no-brainer, but some people actually think this is a sign of interest and make a point of looking you straight in the eye.

5. They Talk Fast So As To Get Rid Of You.

When they talk to you, they talk fast and quickly turn the conversation over to other topics because they don’t really want to hear what you have to say at all and are just trying to get rid of you as soon as possible.

They try to do this without being too rude about it all at once even though it still feels rude when someone does this sort of thing because deep down inside we all know when we are being lied to and treated in an Ill manner.

6. They Make Excuses.

They always have an excuse not to hang out with you or see you again, and all of their excuses are based on the fact that they have some kind of assignment, or a meeting at work, or a doctor’s appointment, or something else that they need to do before anything else.

But I bet that if they actually liked talking to you, they would find a way to cancel those things so they could talk to you instead.

7. No Question Back.

They don’t ask any questions back after you ask them one because they are too busy trying to find out how soon they can end this conversation and move on with their life without being rude/making it obvious that they want nothing more than to be left alone right now.

8. They Don’t Have Time For You.

They aren’t really paying attention to what you’re saying and instead are focused on something else (like an object or person) in the room that caught their interest more than you have/could ever hope to hold it.

9. Their Body Language Changes.

They’re fidgeting or standing with their arms crossed. Body language is an important indicator of how people feel about you and what they think of the conversation you’re having.

If someone’s shifting their weight around or rocking back on their heels, it may indicate discomfort or boredom.

10. They Pretend To Be On Their phone or Busy Doing Something Else.

You know that feeling. You’re in a conversation that’s going nowhere. You can practically see the other person’s eyes glazing over.

Maybe they even look at their phone and pretend to have an urgent text message or doing something else as a means of forming activities.

When that happens, you need to recognize the signs and end the conversation fast before you make things uncomfortable for everyone involved.
